Justin Francese is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and digital cinematographer. He has worked on films in the U.S., Portugal and Turkey. His work has appeared on Oregon Public Broadcasting, New Hampshire Public Television, HGTV, and in numerous film festivals.

Justin is currently the co-producer of the feature length documentary film Play in the Gray. The film is currently in distribution.

In 2007, Justin was associate producer and videographer for Communities and Consequences: The Unbalancing of New Hampshire's Human Ecology. In 2008, Communities and Consequences was the recipient of the New Hampshire Documentary Award from the New Hampshire Film Festival. The film was featured on New Hampshire Public Broadcasting throughout the summer of 2008. Justin was also the director of Horsepower!, which received the documentary short award at the 2006 Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts. And, his documentary short Mbria Magic was selected by Oregon Public Broadcasting to air the arts and culture program Oregon Artbeat.

He is currently an instructor at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University and has taught documentary television production at Southern Illinois University and the University of Oregon.

Justin is a graduate of the University of Oregon's School of Journalism and Communication and the Environmental Studies Program at the University of Vermont. He was born in Ithaca, New York and currently lives in Boston, MA.
